MMD promises credible checks on PF govt

The opposition MMD has promised to remain robust in rendering checks and balance as government rolls out the Country’s national development plan for the next five years.

MMD National Secretary Raphael Nakachinda says his party is particularly interested in seeing the path in which the government will lead the Country to economic gains.

Mr. Nakachinda says his party is to this effect anxious to see what will be contained in the 2017 national budget.

He notes that the MMD expects the commitments made in President Edgar Lungu’s recent speech to Parliament to reconcile with the 2017 national budget.
