People should not assume Kambwili was fired on corrupt grounds – Ng’oma

Political analyst Alex Ng’oma has cautioned people against assuming that Chishimba Kambwili was dismissed as Information and Broadcasting Services Minister for alleged involvement in corrupt activities.

Dr. Ng’oma says this especially that President Lungu had earlier warned that he would fire corrupt Ministers in his government.

He says it will be wrong for anyone to suggest that Dr. Kambwili has been dismissed for corruption when President Lungu did not given any reasons for his action.

Dr. Ngoma has told Qfm news by telephone that what people should understand is that all those who have been appointed to government positions by the President are serving by his prerogative.

He says this means that the same way the president has the powers to appoint, he also has the powers to fire anyone without giving any reasons.
