PROTUZ encourages members to register with Teaching Council

The Profession Teachers Union of Zambia (PROTUZ) has encouraged its members to ensure they register with the Teaching Council of Zambia.

PROTUZ Secretary General Kangwa Musenga says teachers ought to know that those who will fail to acquire a practicing license will be doing themselves a de-service as they risk being unemployed.

Mr. Musenga has disclosed to QTV News that over 73, 000 of his union members have already registered with the council in order to acquire practicing licenses.

He says the main aim of introducing the practicing license is to enhance the quality of education in the country and ensure that the teachers are qualified.
