Lwandamina quits ZESCO United

George Lwandamina has resigned as ZESCO United Football club Coach with immediate effect.

Lwandamina who is linked with a move to Tanzania to take over the coach role at Young Africans Sporting club telwandamina-zescondered in his resignation this morning.

ZESWCO United Football Club Chief Executive Officer Justin Mumba says in a statement posted on the club’s facebook page monitored by QFM says the club has accepted Lwandamina’s resignation.

Mumba has thanked Lwandamina for the work and contribution during his stay at the club.

Lwandamina joined ZESCO United in 2014 winning two league titles, one Barclay’s cup, Charity Shield and guided the club to the 2016 edition of the CAF champion’s league semi-finals.

He has however, ended his reign at ZESCO with a 3-2 loss to Nkana in yesterday’s game played at Levy Mwanawasa stadium.

Mumba says Assistant coach Tenant Chembo has been appointed as acting Head Coach until the end of the season.

He has since wished Lwandamina success in his new journey.
