QFM hailed for neutral coverage of 2016 elections

The Press Association of Zambia Association (PAZA) has commended QFM for being the only media organization that provided 100 percent neutral coverage to the ruling PF, opposition UPND and Government with regards the 2016 general election.

PAZA President Andrew Sakala says QFM has demonstrated that Media organizations can be neutral despite the operating environment.

Mr. Sakala says it is good that QFM maintained its neutrality despite the intimidation from both the ruling and the opposition parties that characterized the election period.

He has since urged the media Institution to continue upholding the ethics and be mindful that it is saving the people and not politicians.

The fourth and final report of the elections media monitoring project by MISA Zambia has named QFM as the only media institution among selected public, private and community media houses in the country that provided 100 percent neutral coverage to the ruling Patriotic Front, opposition UPND and Government with regards the coverage of the 2016 elections.
