Youth Changing Mindset Organisation Public Relations Officer Sampa Bwalya has observed with concern the lack of sporting equipment in most public and community schools on the Copperbelt.

Bwalya says sports play a critical role in spearheading positive change in various sectors of everyday life but it is being hindered by the lack of equipment like balls and attires.

She has told Q news that the development calls for government and other stakeholders to come on board and support schools with sporting equipment because on a larger scale, sports contributes to national growth.

Meanwhile, Bwalya says her organisation based in Ndola’s Chipulukusu has taken it upon itself to engage with at least 100 pupils for sporting activities to share information on positive social causes like HIV transmission and prevention among others.
