The opposition leadership movement (lm) has noted with concern that the Ministerial Statement on the update of the recruitment process is not giving proper direction and hope to the unemployed teachers.

Education Minister Douglas Syakalima told parliament on Thursday that the list of successful candidates in the teacher recruitment process will be published in print and electronic media as soon as the validation process is complete as the process has delayed because at the point the advertisement was placed, the public requested for more time to send in applications.

But leadership Movement Media Director Tatila Tatila tells QTV news that the upnd during their campaigns promised the young people jobs and that they have been waiting since last year to be employed but the new dawn government keeps delaying the process.

He notes that the Teaching Commission of Zambia (TCZ) should be loyal to the Zambian people and not to politician.

Mr. Tatila has since challenged teacher unions to also speak out for the teachers.

He is of the view that the ministry of education should come out clearly and state when the names of selected individuals will be published instead of playing politics on this important subject matter.
