Ban of local products importation to create jobs – Kaleyi

The Zambian National Farmers Union (ZNFU) says there is need for the country to eliminate the trend of importing products that can be produced locally.

Speaking to Q-News in an interview, ZNFU Public relations Calvin Kaleyi says the country needs to move in the direction that encourages local farmers to invest and contribute to job creation by adding value to local produce.

Mr Kaleyi says if the country continues to import products that can be produced locally, this will not only kill the local industry, but create jobs for other countries.
