UPND govt urged to put in place policies to inspire hope

Opposition leadership movement deputy secretary general Chalwe Chandalala says the UPND government needs to put in place mechanisms that are going to inspire hope into the Zambian people.

Mr. Chandalala has told q news that a lot of Zambians are losing confidence in the new dawn government because they have failed to live up to citizens’ expectations.

He says the last eight months have been full of promises while the already high cost of living continued to skyrocket.

Mr. Chandalala says the Zambian people are largely disappointed because government has failed to provide a proper roadmap for economic transformation in line with the campaign promises made prior to be elected in august last year.

Meanwhile, Mr. Chandalala has urged the Zambian people to learn lessons from what they are going through so that when the time comes again to choose political leaders, they will do so on merit and not political affiliation.
