Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary technical services Wisdom Bwalya has disclosed that the Ministry has already started approving Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects across the country.
Mr. Bwalya who could not disclose how many CDF projects have been approved so far, says when the Ministry receives CDF projects, it approves them within three days.
He has told QTV News in an interview that when the Constituency receives the projects from Ward Development Committees they are sent to the Constituency Development Fund Committee which sits to approve projects based on the way they are looking at the application.
He says once this is done, the list is then submitted to the Ministry for final approval.
Mr. Bwalya says the majority of the projects the ministry has received for approval are to do with bursaries considering that the schools have just reopened.
He adds that Constituencies are trying their best to follow the CDF guidelines and that the Ministry is ready to assist Constituencies that are struggling in making submissions.
