African people deserve better from their leaders – President Hichilema

Republican President Hakainde Hichilema says the African people deserve better from their leaders.

Speaking when he addressed the ongoing mining Indaba in Cape Town, South Africa today, President Hichilema says there should be no excuses from African leaders to drive development and alleviate poverty on the continent.

He says leaders are elected to better the lives of the people.

President Hichilema laments that there is so much poverty on the continent amidst so much wealth, which he says African leaders working together must resolve.

He states that African leaders have an opportunity to actualize agenda 2063: ‘The Africa We Want’, African’s blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future.
