giving an update on the covid-19 situation as well as other health matters, health minister Sylvia Masebo reiterated that the country is covid-19 vaccine secure.

She has however, bemoaned the low uptake of the vaccines by members of the public.

Ms Masebo says the serious decline in the numbers of people going for vaccinations is what has prompted the ministry to relaunch the vaccination drive.

And Ms Masebo says the country in the last 24-hours recorded 73 new covid 19 cases out of 1,904 tests conducted with one admission, bringing the total number of current active cases to 567.

On the influenza outbreak, the minister says those that tested positive where also screened for covid-19 and all the tests came out negative.
