Delay to take ATI bill to parliament worries MNCRD

Media Network on Child Rights and Development Executive Director Henry Kabwe has expressed concern on the delay for government to take the access to information bill to parliament for enactment.

Mr. Kabwe says despite the new dawn government making several pronouncements on media reforms to enable the media industry operate independently this has taken too long.

And Mr. Kabwe also says the appointment of the Independent Broadcasting Authority IBA board members should be done professionally and independently in a self-regulatory manner other than the way it is currently done.
