Ex-Finance Minister Chikwanda dies

Former Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda has died.

Mr Chikwanda died in Lusaka today.

And President Hakainde Hichilema is saddened by the passing on of Mr Chikwanda.

President Hichilema has applauded the enormous contributions the late Mr. Chikwanda rendered to the country and the Zambian people over so many years of public leadership and service dating back to the pre-independence.

The Head of State has since sent his condolences to the window, Margaret Chikwanda and the family.
