NGOCC demands Pamela’s release

The Non-Governmental Gender Organizations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) is demanding for the unconditional release of Pamela Chisumpa who was abducted case by some unknown criminals who are now demanding ransom from her family.

The NGOCC is further demanding that security wings move in and save the life of the young woman and arrest the abductors.

NGOCC Executive Director Anne Mbewe Anamela says the organization have since embarked on a social media campaign demanding for the freeing of Pamela.

Ms. Mbewe says the organization engaged the Zambia Police command this morning who have assured them that they are currently investigating the matter.

She says in a statement made available to qtv news that it is at such critical moments that they expect the security wings to demonstrate their efficacy by curbing such heinous crimes,

Ms. Mbewe has since urged members of the public to help the security wings by providing any information that can help to free Pamela and the arrest of the abductors.

Meanwhile Inspector General of Police Lemmy Kajoba says investigations instituted so far are indicating that on April 15, 2022 the boyfriend received a call from the victim’s phone demanding for a ransom of k15,000=00 for her release.

Mr. Kajoba says  the type of crime involving Pamela  is alien to Zambia.

He says the matter involving a mobile money agent Pamela Chisumpa aged 22 was initially reported to the police on April 16, 2022 as a missing person by her sister.
