Opposition has gone to sleep- Dr. Chiputa

University of Zambia Historian, Euston Chiputa has charged that the opposition in the country has gone to sleep in providing checks and balances to the united party for national development administration.

Dr. Chiputa says only the former ruling Patriotic Front party is the only one which is providing checks and balances to the UPND administration.

And Dr. Chiputa says the challenges the p-f is currently facing to offer checks and balances is that they are told that they should be the last people to speak on grounds that they allegedly mismanaged the affairs of the country.

He tells QTV news in an interview that by virtue of them being the largest opposition in parliament they should speak both in and outside parliament in providing checks and balances to the government.
