Linda open community school head teacher Doreen Nzila has noted with concern the lack of desks at the school which currently has over 2000 pupils.

Ms. Nzila has told Qtv news that the introduction of the free education policy has received overwhelming response from parents who have brought back their children to school which has caused some to be sitting on the floor as they cannot be sent back home.

She adds that the move by government to introduce free education is a good move but the school is under pressure because the current pupil teacher ratio cannot allow them to have the much needed interactions with the teachers.

Ms. Nzila says in last year’s examinations the pupils did well but the school had no space to accommodate them hence they were sent to Chilanga primary school a distance of about 7 kilometers from Linda compound.
