Chiefs urged to rally behind govt in enhancing culture and tourism

The House of Chiefs has called on all traditional leaders in the country to help guard and preserve the nation’s culture and history.

In a post on his facebook page after gracing the Kuomboka ceremony over the weekend, president hichilema stressed the importance of upholding culture and endearing history as a collective value which all citizens should jealously guard.

Chief Chikwanda, who is house of chiefs’ chairperson, has urged traditional leaders across the country to rally behind and support the head of state and new dawn government in the quest to guard and preserve as well as using traditional ceremonies to enhance tourism.

Chief Chikwanda tells Q-news that traditional leaders need to work closely with the ministry of tourism to help expose and bring out even the least talked about tourist attractions in their chiefdoms.
