Two people have been detained in connection with the death of a 17 year old grade 11 pupil of Chavuma boarding secondary school in Chavuma district.
The girl identified as Yvonne Shimishi was allegedly murdered and dumped on 11 April, 2022 in what seemed like a love triangle.
The body was only discovered by a passerby a few meters away from her village.
North-western province deputy commissioner of police, Fred Mulenga said police have picked up Pythias Samakayi aged 28, the boyfriend to the deceased and his other girlfriend prudence Masumba aged 21.
Dr Mulenga said the two are currently in police custody to help police with investigations.
Dr Mulenga said a sharp instrument is alleged to have been used in the act, adding that the body had multiple head injuries and bruises.
