Nkwazi house unfit for the President – Bwalya

Presidential spokesperson Anthony Bwalya says Nkwazi House, the official presidential residence requires a lot work that would gobble huge amounts of money before President Hakainde Hichilema can move in.

Mr. Bwalya says President Hichilema would rather have the huge amounts of money meant for the renovations are channeled to needy areas.

He adds that the cost of the president staying at his private residence is nothing compared to cost of renovating Nkwazi House.

Mr Bwalya says the official residence of the republican president is nowhere near habitable for the president.

He states that president Hichilema has decided to direct the funds meant for the renovation of Nkwazi House to other ventures such as education, health, social protection among others as he is in service to prioritize serving the Zambian people before self.
