United Party for National Development (UPND) national youth chairperson Gilbert Liswaniso has accused directors and senior officials from quasi government institutions and parastatals of frustrating the new dawn government’s efforts of empowering youths through cooperatives.
Mr. Liswaniso tells Q news that some directors from parastatals and other quasi government institutions are making it difficult for youths to benefit from the UPND policy of empowerment through cooperatives due to their negative attitude towards the young people.
He charges that some directors are denying opportunities to the youths as they mostly prefer to engage with people who are attached to the previous regime.
He has since called on directors from government institutions and parastatals to stop frustrating youths who seek guidance on how to effectively conduct businesses for the purpose benefitting from the decentralization policy.
