Democratic Governance and Human Rights Advocate (DEGHA) National Coordinator, Gerald Mutelo is urging Members of Parliament to use the period during which parliament is on recess to engage their constituents on various pressing issues.
In a phone interview with Q- news, Mr. Mutelo says the current economic hardships require leaders to be closer and help citizens appreciate the situation by way of explaining.
Mr. Mutelo has observed that the existing information gap on various government programs among people is too much and is likely to affect accountability in various constituencies.
