ACC unearths scam of suspected acts of corruption

The Anti-Corruption Commission-ACC has unearthed a scum of suspected acts of corruption in which some people, and public officers are selling constituency development fund application forms and demanding for unregulated amounts of money from unsuspecting members of the public for registration of cooperatives, associations and clubs.

Commission Spokesperson, Queen Chibwe has since warned such culprits that they will be dealt with accordingly and that the law will take its course.

Mrs. Chibwe has revealed that the commission has joined government efforts to ensure that all stakeholders involved in the disbursement, utilization, accountability and management of the c-d-f are sensitized. 

She says the commission in collaboration with the ministry of local government and rural development participated in raising awareness to all provincial permanent secretaries, provincial local government officers and heads of government departments among others, during sensitization workshops held recently. 

Mrs. Chibwe says over 600 participants have so far been sensitized during workshops.
