Katuka defends UPND youths

United Party for National Development (UPND) National Chairman Stephen Katuka says the party has a very good crop of cadres who cannot behave THE WAY the PF cadres useD to.

Reacting to allegations that a group of UPND cadres had gone to the Anti-corruption commission (ACC) to disrupt the questioning of PF acting president Given Lubinda on monday, Mr. Katuka says the freedom that has been brought in the country coupled with the respect for THE rule of law cannot allow UPND cadres to behave like that.

He tells QTV news that the UPND cadres have no benefit in what was going on at the ACC and that it can only be the PF cadres who in the past have been seen going in numbers to offer solidarity to their party leaders each time they are called for questioning.

He notes that THE UPND government is busy trying to find ways HOW youths can be empowered.

Mr Katuka says it is possible that when the PF cadres heard that their acting president was summoned, they went to show solidarity as always.
