United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia UPPZ president Charles Chanda has commended president Hakainde Hichilema for demonstrating commitment to unite the country.
Mr. Chanda has told QTV news that he is happy to see how the president interacted with his predecessor president Edgar Lungu during fourth president rupiah Banda’s funeral despite the ill-treatment he suffered while in opposition.
He says the head of state should extend this gesture to other political party leaders.
Mr. Chanda adds that political parties should learn from what president Hichilema is doing to unite the country.
he is hopeful that if the president continues on this path, the country will be united.
