ACC denies assertions of being selective in pursuit of corruption cases

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Acting Director General Silumesi Muchula has denied assertions that the commission is being selective in its pursuit of those accused of involvement in corruption.

Mr. Muchula says the commission’s focus is to follow up offenders both past and present and make those found wanting face the law.

He stresses that the commission is not only pursuing individuals from the previous regime, but going after all wrong doers to send a warning to would be offenders.

Mr Muchula has since stated that the commission will not be swayed or deterred from delivering on its mandate by critics, most of whom he says are trying to play victim.
