Zambians urged to mourn RB with dignity, love and unity

Chama north member of parliament Yotam Mtayachalo has described Mr. Banda as a humble man, a nationalist, career diplomat and a man of people.

Mr. Mtayachalo says Mr. Banda lives behind a good legacy to his credit among them handing over power peacefully to late president Michael chilufya Sata after an election defeat in 2011 which is rare in Africa.

He says Zambia has by and large lost a great statesman and peace maker whose political career spans over four decades serving the country in various portfolios with honour and distinction during his illustrious political career which current and future political leaders must emulate.

He has since appealed to all Zambians regardless of their political affiliations to unite and mourn the former president with dignity, love and unity.

AND National Democratic Congress party NDC Saboi Imboela faction has urged youths and every other well meaning Zambians across the country to mourn late former president rupiah Banda with dignity and honor.

NDC secretary general Charles Kabwita tells q news in an interview that mourning of the former head of state in a dignified manner will be a way of acknowledging all the contribution he made to the development of the country.

He observes that despite the announcement made by government from everyone to shun from all entertainment programs other Zambians have gone ahead to conduct entertainment programs hence the need for them to stop.
