The National Council for Constructions (NCC) says the move to blacklist erring constructors and suppliers by the government will provide sanity in the construction sector.

Speaking in a telephone interview with Q News NCC executive director Ernest Nshindano says contractors must deliver whenever they are given a job by the government because that is what is expected from them.

Mr. Nshindano further says that the move will help government to see positive works that will stand a test of time from projects to come, especially those for the constituency development fund (CDF) in all the constituencies.

He has since warned the contractors to ensure they deliver as expected whenever they are given a tender or risks being blacklisted.

This week government disclosed that it will blacklist all erring contractors and suppliers.
