Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry, Chipoka Mulenga has disclosed that his ministry is concluding with the legislation that will empower the locals to be a part of the value chain in production of goods and services.
Mr. Mulenga notes with concern that for a long time zambians have been giving preference to foreign products, stating that the more foreign products are given preference the more they become better than local products.
But Mr. Mulenga has urged Zambians to be more supportive to local products and help grow the local manufacturing industry.
He says local products can only be made better if they are continuously supported.
Mr. Mulenga says government has political will to support local content.
