Govt advised to revise the national youth development council act

Operations Young Vote OYV executive director Guess Nyirenda has commended government for its decision to review the 2015 national youth policy in a quest to address modern challenges facing youths.

Mr. Nyirenda has however, challenged the government not only to end at the national youth policy, but also revise the national youth development council Act.

He tells Q-News that government cannot be using the new national youth policy with an archaic Act dating as far back as 1976.

Government through the ministry of youths, sport and arts is hosting the annual Youth Indaba in Lusaka which has drawn 600 youths from across the country under the theme: ‘enhancing youth participation at all levels of national development’.
