President Hakainde Hichilema has urged youths in the country to aggressively seek various empowerment initiatives being offered by government.
President Hichilema says government is also in the process of reviewing the youth policy of 2015 and other pieces of legislation to make them relatable to challenges facing youths.
speaking in a speech delivered for him by Vice President Mutale Nalumango during the 2022 youth indaba held under the theme “increasing youth participation in all levels of national development” ahead of this year’s youth day celebrations, president Hichilema says his administration is committed to ensure that it opens up and make available to youths substantiated spaces of full participation in the country’s social, economic and as well as leadership endeavors.
He says he is aware that young people voted for change in the august 2021 elections which the government is determined to deliver to them.
