Youth, Sport and Arts Minister Elvis Nkandu has revealed that the ministry has so far recovered over 20 million kwacha from beneficiaries under the youth empowerment program.
Speaking at the ongoing national indaba, Mr. Nkandu says the ministry has made tremendous progress in loan repayment.
Mr. Nkandu says the new dawn government is determined to create equal opportunity for all by mobilization to ensure that 80 percent procurement is given to the led youth enterprises.
He says the national indaba has brought together around 700 youths from all the 156 constituencies across the country.
And speaking earlier, UN resident coordinator in Zambia, Dr. Coumba Mar Gadio says to date the United Nations has mobilized about five million from its nine agencies to support the government operationalize and implement its youth programmes.
