Some companies linked to PF officials did not do the works despite being paid-Nkombo

Local Government and Rural Development Minister Garry Nkombo has named some of the companies linked to Patriotic Front officials which were awarded contracts under his ministry but did not do the works despite being paid.

Mr Nkombo says some of those who benefited from the contracts for which works have not been delivered are still in parliament.

He says his ministry has been asking some of those who were awarded these contracts to come through, but to no avail.

Responding to supplementary questions to the question asked by Mpongwe Member of Parliament Gregory Ngowani on whether the government has any plans to rehabilitate roads in Mpongwe district, Mr Nkombo says some those whose companies were awarded contracts by the PF administration and have not delivered works are still in Parliament.

The Minister had earlier in his response to the questions threatened to name the culprits who are in the house if pushed too far, before eventually revealing the names of some of the companies.
