Independent Churches of Zambia (ICOZ) Board Chairperson, Bishop David Masupa has attributed the increasing road traffic accidents and the rise in suicide cases in the country to spiritual forces hovering over Zambia.

Bishop Masupa has told QTV news that there is need for the church to stand in the gap for the country and pray against the spirit of death which is manifesting itself through accidents and suicidal cases.

He says the church should intensify Prayer and Fasting nationwide and ask God to intervene.

He says the country has never witnessed a situation where road traffic accidents are happening concurrently.

And Bishop Masupa says the rise in suicide cases in the country is an indication that something is wrong within the communities and families.

He has since called on churches to step up their spiritual and psychological counseling’s in order to address the situation.

Bishop Masupa says church leaders should not only focus on the spiritual aspects of their members, but their physical and mental wellbeing as well.
