Govt Committed to support women

Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Chipoka Mulenga says the new dawn administration values the participation of women in the governance of the country.

In an interview with QTV news, Mr. Mulenga says society does not know and respect gender, but only knows people that stand up and are ready to be counted in the developmental agenda of the country.

He adds that the new dawn government attaches great importance to the participation of women in politics as meaningful development cannot be attained without the participation of women in key decision making positions.

The minister states that as women commemorate international women’s day which falls on 8^th march, they should take time to reflect and ensure they take up their positions in society.
