Paramilitary battalion sustains a gunshot wound on his ear

A 27 year old paramilitary battalion has sustained  a gunshot wound on his right ear after being shot, by his fellow police officer under the paramilitary battalion.

Confirming the incident, police deputy public relations officer ,Danny Mwale disclosed that police in Lusaka recorded a shooting incident in which constable Wamunyima Mubiana aged 24 of paramilitary battalion was shot at by Pumulo Mulife aged 27 also a police officer under paramilitary battalion on February 27, 2022 around 01:00 hours at north mead market area.

Mr. Mwale says preliminary investigations indicate that constable Mulife while on his point of duty around north mead market area shot at Mubiana who was not  on duty at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile, police in northern province have been recording incidents in which people especially some foreign nationals claim to be witch finders and conduct traditional practices called kamuchape.
