The Continental Leadership Research Institute is urging government to extend the three months travel ban for permanent secretaries and directors to public service officers in lower ranks.

Executive Director Mundia Hakoola tells QTV News that this in order to ensure fiscal discipline in the lower structures of the public service.

Mr Hakoola says to ensure budget credibility and spending within the resource envelope, government and other spending agencies should stick to the 2022 national budget pronouncements.

Meanwhile Mr. Hakoola believes for Zambia to grow the economy, there should be coordinated fiscal and monetary policy to spur economic activity and support financial system stability.
