Fifty seven out of 141 stranded Zambian students studying in various institutions in Ukraine have made it to Poland.

Foreign affairs and international cooperation minister Stanley Kakubo says a total of 57 students have safely crossed the border from Ukraine into Poland.

Mr. Kakubo also says 1 student is safely in Hungary having been directed by his parents to travel to that country.

The minister says government has continued to exert all efforts to ensure that all Zambian nationals are safely repatriated from Ukraine.

Mr. Kakubo has encouraged students who are still in transit to ensure that they proceed to the rendezvous in Lviv for easier movement and processing through the boarder formalities.

He says all students are expected to be in Zambia by Friday this week.
