Social economist Kelvin Chisanga has attributed the gaining of the kwacha currency to the good governance by the new government administration.
Mr. Chisanga tells Q that the coming of the new government administration has influenced the positive performance of kwacha against other foreign currencies.
He says some notable banks including the interbank have formed activities that have necessitated the gaining of the kwacha currency against other foreign currencies.
Mr. Chisanga further says that local financial performances that have been observed on the local market has also contributed to the gaining of the kwacha currency.
He has encouraged government to review debt portfolio in order to stabilize the kwacha performance on the market.
