Govt to release $500million for public service and job creation – Bwalya

Government says it will soon release about 500 million us dollars which will be used in the delivery of public services including job creation among others.

Speaking during the press briefing held at the state house, presidential advisor for press and public relations Anthony Bwalya has disclosed that the money is meant to cushion the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on the Zambian people.

He says the UPND administration remains committed to delivering their campaign promises as they have already implemented some of the promises such as removing of political cadres from markets among others.

Speaking during the same event presidential Covid 19 advisor dr. Roma Chiengi has disclosed that since the relaunch of the vaccination program on the 7th October the ministry of health has so far vaccinated about 60 thousand individuals as at 20th October.

Dr. Chiengi says they expect the vaccination program relaunch to extend to all districts across the country until it reaches to local leadership levels.

He says government has made commitments for donations of Fpizer and Moderna vaccine to the country assuring that the country will get the Fpizer vaccine but likely to get the Moderna vaccine.
