The Zambia Centre for Interparty Dialogue (ZCID) has implored the Zambia Police to be impartial in executing their duties with regards maintaining law and order in the nation.
ZCID Executive Director Doreen Kabwe is saddened with reports of political violence in some parts of the country ahead of tomorrow’s by-elections.
Mrs. Kabwe has also called on political party leaders to prevail over their cadres and discipline them unreservedly.
Mrs. Kabwe says these sparks of violence shows that political party leaders still have a mammoth task before them to ensure they control party cadres as they are better placed to nurture individuals within their parties who should contribute positively to the development of the nation as opposed to becoming monsters who are fond of intimidating and shedding innocent blood of their political opponents.
