A 39-year-old woman of lusaka’s woodlands chalala residential area has died after being shot by her younger brother.
Raymond Phiri shot Zelipah Phiri dead who was at the time seated with her sister in the living room.
Father to the two and owner of the fire arm Lyson Phiri reported to the police, the incident which happened at about 19:30hrs on Saturday.
Confirming the development to Qtv News, Zambia Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga says the body of the deceased has since been deposited at university teaching hospital -UTH-mortuary while the suspect has been detained in police custody and the gun confiscated.
