People’s Initiative Charter (PIC) has urged Zambians and stakeholders to wait for the UPND administration to present the 2022 national budget before they start providing checks and balances.
Speaking to Q-news, PIC Executive Chairperson Cleophas Phiri says it is rhetorical for some stakeholders to start demanding for the implementation of the UPND’s promises when they are still operating under the Patriotic Front budget.
Mr Phiri says there is need for stakeholders to wait until the UPND administration unveils the national budget.
He says checks and balances are very important in a democratic country to correct the sitting government but that there is need for stakeholders to do so at the right time.
