Golden party of Zambia leader , Jackson Silavwe has opposed President Hakainde Hichilemas decision to fire the Zambia Revenue Authority Commissioner general Kingsley Chanda.
Yesterday President Hichilema announced that he had with immediate effect terminated Tue services of Mr Chanda and replaced him with Mr Dingani Banda as the new ZRA commissioner.
But Mr Silavwe feels that President Hichilema has deprived himself of a brilliant mind as Mr. Chanda has been good for ZRA and the Country owing to the gains that ZRA has made under his charge.
Mr Silavwe stresses that under the watch of Mr Chanda ZRA has performed exceptionally well and his performance qualifies him to be a National asset.
He has since stated that such decisions as the one made by Mr Hichilema to fire Mr Chanda are the major reasons why some professionals in the country stay away from politically sensitive positions and politics altogether.
