UPPZ Spokesperson Francis Kope
The United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) says it has turned down an invitation to join the Opposition Alliance because it is strong enough to win the 2021 elections on its own.
UPPZ National Chairperson Francis Kope says his party is also not interested in a two political party system which those who have formed the alliance are seeking to create.
Mr. Kope states that the UPPZ does not support an alliance of political parties where political parties have a shared goal, but with opposing ideologies.
He adds that unlike some of the political parties that are in the Opposition Alliance, his party already knows how it feels to contest an election and is now preparing for 2021.
