Dialogue will succeed, ZCCB disagrees with doomsayers

The Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) has disagreed with doomsayers that the launched National Dialogue is bound to fail.

ZCCB Secretary General Cleophas Lungu says while those predicting the failure of the dialogue are entitled to their opinions, the three church mother bodies leading the process do not think the National Dialogue will fail.

Father Lungu says the ZCCB, the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) and the Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) are confident that the dialogue process will succeed.

He has told Q-News that this is whether or not some political parties shunned the launch of the process.

Father Lungu states that the three church mother bodies will in this case soon inform the nation on the way forward and release a detailed program of the National Dialogue once it has been agreed upon.
