PEP condemns PF attack on Prime TV journalists

Enock Tembo – PeP President

The opposition Patriots for Economic Party has strongly condemned the recent attacks on journalists from prime TV crew that went to cover the patriotic front press conference by Secretary General Davies Mwila.

Party Leader Sean Tembo says it is unfortunate that the PF Secretary General chased away Prime TV journalists from covering the event in the public’s interest.

Mr. Tembo says the ruling party is expected to deal with all citizens in a mature and courteous manner, even those individuals and groupings that they may not agree with.

He says the emotional actions exhibited by the PF Secretary General Davies Mwila has no place in Zambia.

Mr. Tembo feels that if Mr. Mwila is short-tempered, then the party must consider reassigning him to a job role which does not involve interaction with the public, such as switchboard operator.

He has therefore encouraged Mr. Mwila to behave himself and measure his conduct towards others whom he deems less powerful than himself.
