Mines urged to honor their commitment not to lay of workers

Mining firms in the country have been challenged to honor their commitment not to lay of their workers.

Federation for Free Trade Union of Zambia President Chingati Msiska says mining companies must not issue rhetoric statement but ensure they stick to their words.

Mr. Msiska says this will ensure that there is calm among the workers.

He has warned that they will be monitoring the happenings in the mining sector with keen interest to ensure that the mines comply with their commitment.

The FFTUZ has observed that investors have the mandate to abide by the country’s pay tax and see no reasons why they should arm twist the games.
