Engage senior citizens in the national dialogue Church advised

William Harrington

Former Senanga Member of Parliament William Harrington has echoed the call by veteran politician Vernon Mwaanga on the need to involve senior citizens

such as those that have served in government before in the national dialogue process if it is to be successful.

Mr. Harrington observes that the impasse that has characterized the dialogue process is a clear sign that the help of senior citizens in the process is needed.

He says while these senior citizens may have retired from public life, they still possess the capacity to resolve the challenges the country is experiencing with regards to promoting dialogue and reconciliation as they are experienced people.

Mr. Harrington says senior citizens who include Dr. Sketchley  Sachika and Mr. Mwaanga are capable of offering unbiased advise to the ongoing National Dialogue process as opposed to what he has termed as cadre kind of advise coming from some stakeholders.
