CEEC and TEVETA sign an MoU

The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) and the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which will see the training of micro, small and medium enterprises in specialized skills across the country.

CEEC Director General, Likando Mukumbuta says the project will be supported by the Africa Development Bank at a cost of K400,000.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Mr. Mukumbuta says the MOU will also help TEVETA develop a sustainable business development services provision to the micro, small and medium enterprises sector in the country’s economy.

Mr. Mukumbuta says the partnership will redefine business development services in the country.

And TEVETA Director General Cleophas Takaizya says the agreement is a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration to contribute to economic development.

Mr. Takaizya has since pledged to ensure the successful implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding.
